well it turned into a mess, got about 50 mile into the trip and was going throulgh a small town and had a green light change to red on us and the car in front of me stoped reall fast and i  didnot and quess what  a rearender happened, there was more damage  to my car than hers, but was able to  finish the trip and had some fun, and there is nothing to do up in that town after 5:00 in the after noon, seems like they roll up the sidewalks and take them inside, got to visit out at his house for about three hours and took my friend out to supper on friday night, didnt get any pics though forgot my camera had it laying out and walk off and for got it. It was a long 500 mile round trip and i am still tired and wore out so am gonna cut this short.

If you are on MEDICARE you can get new ones every year if you have a doc that  will write a per scription for them, if not one pair per every three years and i am coming up on my three years next year and i need a new set of feet that i cannot afford to pay for my self. now for MEDICAID i dont know any thing about them or how they work cause me and my better half make to much money to qualify. Usually in your first year or so you will  need new ones depending on how fast your stump shrinks down, i didnot have that problem because of insurance mess up and it was almost six months be fore i got my first pair and by then my stumps had shrunk down quite a bit.

showtime1k, lost my legs in 2002, and right now i am wearing my fifth pair, i wear them out and yes i went throuth a couple of people before i found one that would  listin to me and do it so that it would fit and fit good, have one now that i need to go and see cause i am having problems with a bone spur on my left stump and the socket needs to be opened up a bit to stop me from rubbing hard in that area. And also you dont have to sign for them until you are satisfied with the fit and they are required law to make them fit to you feeling. i know that cause we went through four test sockets before i knew that he had gotten them right. And this is more than i have posted on here in a  long time, jusst havent had much to say, and have been busier than a one arem paper hanger working in my hobby.

Showtime1K, when you are a single bka that works great, but when you are a bilat and have them in both legs then standing up with out your legs on is a big no no,  cause i have yet been able to put full wieght on the bottom of my stump and i lost mine in MARCH OF 2002, most of the time when i get them is to just work them out with mind over matter and that usually works for me, and i get zingers that will almost not me off my legs.

Herb, dont sell our snowmobles caause you are gonna need them this winter to get around in and also get ready for some 65 below zero weather up there, have friend that live up there the year around and they both have at least two snowmoblies at there disposal  and use both of them every year. and as for taking your horse dont do it cause there is not enough time for them to get used to the climate up there and grow hair long enough to protect them.

Ann, it wasnt myliners it was my sockets that were cut down, they made them too high in the back and after i had them cut some out of back there my problem disappeared and fast, my liner for one stoped bunching up back there. Sorry to mislead you on that.

To all that answered me on this, i am back up and running on both legs now and am up to 5 ply  on the left leg and 3 on the right one. some times that is to  much and have to adjust to a lower number, but other than that i am okay and will be until the next time it happens and i know it is gonna happen just when i dont know, sure wish sometimes i did that way i could look out for it before it happens, but then that would take all the fun out of it. bye for now, HAVE A GREAT DAY, it is in the 80's down here today.

i must be a werdo cause i wear ALPHA MAX 9MM and i get from three to five years wear out of them  and i am a very activer person, were mine go is right in front just where your tibula sticks out on me any way, and then the material gives up and i start sucking air and know when i  need new ones cause of  the air bubbles coming up the inside of my liners, and yes fit is the one and foremost item per your leg it must fit right or you will have trouble walking, i have gone through four test sockets per leg before they got my last set that fit to my standards and i can tell you that my standards a very high when i comes to fit, especially being a bilaterial bka, and here lately i have been having some problems cause of wieght fluckuations up five to ten and then down the same amount a couple of weeks later, so i just keep me a roll of 200 mile and hour tape handy and take out and add when needed, and the way they feel to night i need to add some tape to the left one around the lower end of the socket, feels  like there is GRAND CANYON down there aand needs to be filled in some, will see tommarrow how it feels, right now i dont have any socks on at all just my 9mm liners, and both are tight where it should be and i am walking and standing fairly good and can stay up for longer period of times than before. will close for i have ranted on long enough for this go around.
