I wish mine had been around when I lost my leg. Sorry you've lost yours.

I can predict when these pains will come for me. After several hours of wearing any leg with a stocking of any thickness, I can expect them to come. When they come they hit me hard enough to scream. It happens so fast you hardly have time to react before they stop again but don't be fooled by the lull. They return again in as little as a few seconds with a great intensity. Then they seem to last even longer and hurt worse. I have found no remedy or even slight relief except to take 2 Percosettes and go to sleep

Hey! Did y7ou all know we had private m3essqages and stuff on here? If I knew them I forgot.
I would like to say with a Thousand thanks and  undying gratitude to:

Dick. Yes I would still like to meet again with you and your lovely wife at Lehigh. I have been working hard to pick up the big pieces and stay ahead of the ever rising financial tide. I am still not driving and even typing has become an art form as the computer crashed and it takes weeks to set everything up again.

Steve: I would love to call and bless you for the invitation. What difference does the time zones make if we're going to talk all day and night

Herb: I appreciate the invitation and would love to take you up on it when I get better. So far my best course of action comes from honorable Veterans.

Stinker 373: Send me an e-mail to and I will frorward my photos but again be warned you will be looking at the fingertips which are dead due to sudden onslaught of Gangrene. It's gross

Studies show that a man has a sexual thought every 10 seconds. He'll be wearing out shifters.

There comes a time in every mans life when he takes his courage because what he See's as wrong exceeds his fear of death. This is the fabric that hero's are made from. Men who jump on a grenade to save a squad. Corpsman who dodge bullets to drag a guy to safety.

This man is a sick as he is sane. He saw wrong and tried to stop it through the only thing he trusted. His faith in God. He was at Walter Reed when I was there as a Chaplain. I had to quit. He went berserk.

Having seen both sides of the argument I find it difficult to convict. I will leave it in Gods hands and the Uniform Code of Military Justice to decide. Meanwhile my compassion and prayers are for all.

At the surgeons again this afternoon. He said the amputation site looks fine but there is no doubt and no hope for any recovery. To demonstrate he had me hold out my good hand palm down. He pointed out the area between the thumb and the index finger noting how it was nothing more than a web of skin. He said, "Remember not long ago this was full of muscle". He pointed out that my calf's were once 19 inches and are now barely 13. I'm withering away. If I knew what was coming I could prepare for it. Or at least if I knew when

All the doctors say is to enjoy the time you have..

No Ann, this is not a burn at all. I never thought having a finger amputation would be that big a bother but it's a real pain. I have about 5 more weeks of home IV therapy. That kind of tears you up as well. Then the drugs are all so depressing. I have to say that my family has been far more swupportive tha

A little known side effect of Diabetes is a thing called, "Spontaneous Blistering". Every thing will be going along well when you suddenly notice a small blister. Usually it will be on a toe. For me it showed up on two fingertips. This can happen regardless of your glucose levels.

Within about 48 hours the  blistered area becomes infected. Then your BG's shoot through the roof. Skin begins to fall off along with meat until the bone is denuded.

The surgeon took one look at my finger and said, this part is dead, this part will be dead tomorrow. If we cut you here we may have a chance of saving your hand.

And so it was. Just like that. Two surgeries two days apart. Very quick neat and painless. The first had me in a twilight state from Ketermine. For the second I was further under with Propofol.

I think this may lend credence to Allens assertions regarding the use of local anesthetics. The only pain i have is from the swelling due to the infection.
I have some pictures but may be to rough for mixed company. If you would like to see then just send me an e-mail.

My therapist has arrived so I must be off liken a prom gown. See you soon

If that bastard makes it a second term he'll be doing it with a Flex Foot in his ass. Not that I wish him any harm.

All he is doing is providing lip service to his constituent base. That's what the free health care and Olympic nonsense is all about. Thus far he has actually done nothing at all for anyone. This country has endured better and worse. Just keep telling yourself it's only a temp job.

Now sit back and watch the "Peace Puppet" send another 40,000 of your son's and daughters to death.

Why was it you voted for him again?

What about the hidden new tax? Did you know you can only deduct a portion if you paid out more than 7.5 % in medical expenses? That will increase to above 10 % Hitting a sector of people who can least afford the increase. You won't find that in the reform bill. I'm sick of all the "Shell" games.

As for abortion I respect a woman's rights as granted under the Constitution. I also respect a persons right to pursue perdition over salvation. When my life is over I will find friends and family in Heaven or Hell. If people have not seen enough to know right from wrong then sit back and watch what's coming.

We can't stall the issue with "Basic" benefits. It must be the full magilla for everyone or we create that ever popular wool suited Boogie Man. The four horsemen draw so near we can hear their thunder. Listen for the trumpets

Personally, I feel we should cover everyone for everything. I have only 3 exceptions to the bill as proposed

1. I am a Christian man and as such do not want my tax money used to murder unborn infants. I will not halt or falter on that position. Consider these words as chiseled in stone. Someone must stand for these silent dead. I will be happy to do so.
2. I do not want to provide free health care to illegal aliens. Let them come. Let them come from every country on Earth. Under every flag. Let them taste sweet Liberty. Give them something worth defending. We have Billions of acres of wide opened undeveloped land. 40 Acres and a Mule.

3. I don't believe in euthanasia, assisted suicide. Yes I have seen far more than my share of suffering but the hour of your death is not your call my friend. That is Gods call right to the minute. Who are we to assume God Almighty needs Sammys tribunal to make his decisions for him?
