Title: Anyone get more phantom pain when they're sick?
Post by: Steve C on September 02, 2012, 06:15:43 PM
I usually don;t get a great deal of phantom pain. I'm lucky like that. I had a bad dose of bronchitus for 2 weeks a week ago. I found that my phantom pain was far more frequent while I was still pretty sick. Anyone else experience this?

Steve, When I don't feel good or have a lot of stress in my life I experience more phantom pain.  I think it happens when your resistance is down.  Hope you are feeling better!  annieg

I've been well for about a week and a half. Thanks. I think you're right about that more phantom pain comes when your resistance is down. My doctor said the same thing when I went in for the bronchitus!

I had terrible cramping in my good leg last night.  I realized I didn't drink enough water yesterday (kidney problems).  I find the phantoms get worse when I'm dehydrated.  So drink up!
Guinness is made with water isn't it?  My husband swears it has medicinal properties.  LOL annieg
