My new socket
« on: April 15, 2008, 03:41:27 PM »
I picked up my new socket yesterday.  It fits great.    ;D

I had a piece of material from a US Speedskating olympic skinsuit laminated on the socket.

Well, looks pretty neat!
Amazing what all they could do ... yet, it's not nearly as good as the one God created in all of us.

All the best, as you start using this.

Looks wonderful! For me personally I like mine to look as "real" as possible since my Real leg when I had it was a mess.It was a road map of surgical scars so a covered leg is some what s treat for  me. and I don't like the unwanted stares it comes with, but that is just me.

Hi snowbear.  I understand your feelings.  Wearing an uncovered prosthesis isn't for everyone.

I figure that people are going to stare anyway so I might as well show them a personalized socket to stare at.   lol    :)
