When it rains it pours eh?

I know the feeling when bills start screaming in. All of mine are expected (car insurance, home insurance etc etc) but it doesn't make it feel any better.

On a positive note, my (prosthetic) leg got me a job the other day. I sometimes work in telly and film and a new period drama (1880's London) needed two 'down on their luck, alcoholic, ex-british soldiers' to work as extras. I got to work with my favorite actor Iain Glen.
The bad news is the leg cost me a job the following week. I was called by a studio to be cast as Aidan Quinns double in the film 'Stay' being filmed here in Ireland. I was their first choice. I would have needed to drive an old Saab (car) so I had to mention the leg as I would have to try out the car to make sure my feet wouldn't get caught up under the dash while shifting gears. They were going to have me try it out but then cast someone else. These things happen. They said they'd try and use me for some other part. I sent them an email to ease their minds about using amputees (in case they thought we were all fragile and such) but we'll see if they call back.
Where ever I go, I'll always have one foot in Ireland   /   I'm not a complete fool. Some parts are missing.

When I saw pron I thought he either spelled porn wrong or he meant 'prawns'. I love prawns but I still didn't click the link. I'm glad he's gone anyhow.

Know the feeling, when things go wrong it seems it all goes downhill, but the good news is we have those things that we have to pay for and we are ALIVE, sure beats the other options.  Hope things get better for all of us. :)
