It's a darn shame Reed got back in......there is absolutely no difference between Pelosie{sp} and him.....Obama wants back in;   he is sliding to the middle.  He admits there's alot wrong with the so called 'health plan'.   I think the republicians will end up just taking out the bad parts {which is most of it}  Remember there are several senators up for the vote this next year.....don't think they want to loose their jobs. ;)

I honestly don't know how I feel about the health care bill, other than it might be the first tentative step towards a really useful reformation. I don't like anything that requires Americans to do business with privately owned, for-profit companies (hello Workers Compensation anyone?), but on the flip side a government-administered national health care model like Britain's or Canada's would get shot down here as a socialist conspiracy of some kind (and I know the old saw about putting the government in charge of anything, but even the VA has had moments of brilliance).

But something has to change, the US health care model is fundamentally broken. When I get billed $90 for an injection -- not for the medication, mind, just for the mere service of injecting it -- something's very wrong. I don't think the current health care bill will fix it, but maybe it'll shake the foundations enough to make way for something that will.

just read in on my home page, the judge in FLORIDA, has ruled to whole dang mess UNCONSTUTIONAL, and the feds cantnot force a person to buy insurance as stated in the bill. that is the part that the rulling was on and 26 other states are included in it as far as i can see or read. This is the seconded time this has happened to it looks like the DEMO'S kindof put there foot in it on this go around, And yes we need health care reform but not this one and the way they are trying to  go about it.
you-all have a great day.

Hello Jack - the supreme court will have to decide now. The government already makes us buy all kinds of things. We can not drive a car in most states without buying insurance. I can not operate my business without buying insurance. I have to buy a passport to travel. I can only buy equipment that has been certified as acceptable by the government. I would like to buy one of the diesel cars sold in Europe or Asia buy our government will not allow me to. The government tells me where I can and cannot buy drugs. It is only right that everybody have medical  insurance birth to death. Everybody needs medical care at some times in their life but most people can not at every point in their life pay for it without insurance. Herb

Ponzi Scheme.  Violation of Trust.  Call it what itis.

The original concept of Social Security was/is a sound one.  Employees paid into a Social Security TRUST FUND, that would grow and be available to them at retirement.  Notice your tax returns: the government still goes thru the fiction of calculating and collecting Social Security separate from general Income Taxes.

BUT, over the years, the government has violated the trust by invading the SS Trust Fund to pay for non-SS governmental expenses ..... with no serious intent to repay the invaded funds.  THAT is the reason that SS is running out of $$.

Republicans/Tea Partyers feel it is more important to keep the windfall Tax Break for the already-super-rich 1%, than to honor the SS Trust Fund that common workers have paid into for a lifetime.

dick, if you go back over the last few years when they were screamming that the social security fund was gonna go bankrupght, all the did was pay off some of the IOU'S that are setting in the fund, from money that they use to pay for other stuff, which in my opinion we didnt need, the last i have heard there is almost two trillion dollars in IOU'S in there now. this fund needs to be locked up so that they cannot get they hands on it and it is used for just social security only.
you-all have a great day.
