Children and Amputation

Dose anyone know of a site  for children? I'm in touch with a person who's little boy recent under went a sysms amputation. The child suffers form the same thing I did. Does any one have any information or advice for a child? he is onl 5 and quite a little trooper Thanks! :)

I didn't even think of them. I know they have a youth edition of In Motion like we get.

For a young child, check out I-CAN on-line.  (I believe it stands for International Child Amputee Network)  It's for the Kids and their parents.

Also, the ACA has had more kids attending the Annual Conference, and more programs geared for the kids and their parents -- much more in recent years.

i don't know if this will be any help but there is a charity in the UK called STEPS http://www.steps-charity.org.uk/ they have excellent info for parents and children; i think that it was started by a parent of a child with Clubfoot who was frustrated by the lack of information and support for parent and children with disabilities. They have a forum too....
