It does! I don't think I would want anything bolted into me though. Makes you curious to what the future brings!

Hi Steve - I already have numerous bolts, pins, and rods in me from my many surgeries and they only get noticed when I go through a metal detector. I know that the idea of a rod protruding from the end of one's residual leg is not very appealing, but it would eliminate the socket. it might be worth it. The majority of my problems come from my socket and I would love to get rid of it. I think osteointegration is coming and it will make things better for amps. I've read about a lot of research being done to make it safe. Herb
