Genki, you are so right about the differences between people who lose their legs as children and those who do as adults.   I think alot of it has to do with fear of falling. I don't remember ever being afraid to fall when I was younger - just sometimes embarrassed.  And being a kid, I just didn't think about the "what if's", I just figured things out as I went along. Bumps and bruises were part of my learning curve.  ::)  But I have noticed that a lot of adult amps, even those in good physical shape, have a real trust issue with their leg along with a fear of falling. MPK's are great for alleviating some of those issues. And sometimes, you just can't afford to fall! I got my C-leg when my daughter was 6 months old. I had a a terrible fear of falling with her, and wanted to be able to carry her across the lawn or other terrain confidently.
